The advantage though to inside is you can literally use it to get water out . . . With a boat on plane water will rush out of the drain hole, so if you have a leak or take on a lot of water in a small boat without a bilge pump you can get her on a slow plane ... Re: Bugs and boat lighting We have the LED rope lights on our deck and they don't seem to draw any more bugs than you would normally have on a summers night. I was wondering what size outboard motor to use on my 14' harbercraft aluminum boat? The boat is pretty light, probably 165lb-180lb range and I bought it off a guy who used to put on top of his canopy on his truck. My boat has a 15" transom and like I said it is pretty light weight and probably comparable to a 14' starcraft.
