Its a really great phone the touch screen ... Basically, using env like this is a (mostly) shell-independent way of avoiding aliases, shell functions, shell builtin commands, and any other bits of shell functionality that might replace or override command-position arguments (i.e. program names)—unless, of course, env is an alias, or shell function! USERNAME=ABC PASSWORD=PASS Unlike the normal ones have export prefix so I cannot source the file directly.

What's the easiest way to create a shell script that loads content from .env file and set them as environment variables? This might look like a newbie question, but I am unable to find the way to load environment variables from both .env and .env.local files in node with dotenv. Is it even possible?
