I just upgraded my ageing laptop because it was not powerful enough to smoothly run Insta360 Studio (and similar software). My new laptop is a Surface Pro 11 with a powerful ARM processor. Certainly not unique to Microsoft, ARM chips are in a lot of computers these days.
