Xfinity App not working on Firestick I have a couple of TVs with Amazon Firesticks for streaming. As of October 2025 (probably after software updates), the Xfinity Stream app does not work anymore. For live channels, the app keeps buffering and does not show any content.
Understanding the Context
For recordings, it does not play any of them. Xfinity Stream wont open on my Firestick I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app on Firestick as well as making sure my Firestick was up to date. And the Xfinity Stream app isn't opening at all. It works fine on my phone, but not on Firestick.

It just goes back to the main guide. I followed these instructions and it does not work on the firestick remote using the firestick/Xfinity stream app. Navigating through 1000 channels is difficult so making a channel favorites list is crucial. Hello @user_7d6f40, thanks for reaching out for help with setting up the Xfinity Stream app on your Firestick. By chance have you tried the Xfinity Stream app on any other devices to see if you get a connection error? The problem appears to be a firmware change in the "Select" version of the 4k Firestick, that Xfinity is sensitive to but the16 other streaming apps we use, are not.
We found an older HD Firestick on Amazon and no longer have the problem. Xfinity better fix this when we get our 4k TV, or they will be dropped.
